“For me, representation is so important for young Indigenous people – for them to see and relate to a familiar face and someone to look up to. When I was growing up on all the magazine covers, you’d just see the pretty white girls with blonde hair and blue eyes and it was never really anyone I could relate to. It’s great to see a lot of other Indigenous creatives getting involved with it as well, because why not, why can’t we be in Vogue? Let’s change the narrative”.
