The COVID-19 vaccine is on its way, and Hedland Health Campus has been named as one of six vaccination hubs across Western Australia as part of the State Government’s first phase of the immunisation program.
The Hedland hub will cover healthcare and other at-risk workers. It is expected that the first doses of the vaccine will be available in WA by the end of February, with aged and disability care residents and frontline staff in quarantine, airports and hospitals the first in line to get the jabs.
In the first phase of the program, eligible people will be invited to register for a vaccine using a WA Health booking system. See the full statement on the vaccine roll-out here.
