Cossack Art Awards

The Cossack Art Awards are on again, and a restructure of the event means this year it is open to Pilbara artists only!

The Cossack Awards are now in the 28th year, with the event continuing to be a highlight of the region. The awards are all about celebrating the very best talent and bringing the small town to life with several vibrant and exciting artworks for three weeks across July and August!

Although things are a little different due to physical distancing restrictions at the moment, there are still five fantastic categories that you can enter – Emerging Young Artist, North West Flora and Fauna, Open Theme, Painting by Indigenous Artist and Portrait. Entries for all these categories are open now!

Plus, for the first time this year, there will be a new category for children. This award will have a theme and each entrant will receive a canvas to complete their artwork. There will be three age group categories, with a best overall and highly commended prize in each age group. Entries open soon and the theme will be announced at the same time, so look out for more details.
